Once You Finally Stop Living in Your Head
Stop Living in Your Head:
How to Activate the “Observer” and Shift Your Reality Do you ever find yourself trapped in a cycle of negative thoughts? Maybe you’re driving to work and a voice in your head insists you’ll never have enough money, or you’re doing chores when an intrusive thought tells you that you aren’t loved.
If you identify with these thoughts, you are living in your head. But as the moment you realize you are **not** your mind is the moment your life begins to change.
1. The Brain is Just a Processor
Contrary to what some scientists claim, consciousness does not reside in the brain.Think of your brain like a computer: it is a processing machine that takes input from your five senses and generates an output designed for survival.
The problem is that our inputs are often faulty. The article uses the analogy of seeing a stick in a dark forest and mistaking it for a snake. Your brain triggers fear based on a false assessment.
The entity that realizes the mistake and finds the courage to keep walking is your true self—the “Observer”
2. You are Pure Consciousness
You are not your body, your mind, or your ego.You are pure awareness—an individualized aspect of the divine projecting this human experience from the inside out.
The “Observer” is formless and infinitely powerful, but it has purposefully limited itself to the human ego to have a genuine experience. Suffering begins when we forget our observer status and become “completely identified with the limitations, faulty judgment, and inaccurate worldview of the ego.
3. The Perpetual Feedback Loop
Whatever you repeatedly accept as true becomes your “State of Being”
If you believe money is hard to get, your ego acts as a filter, blinding you to opportunities for ease and abundance.
You then experience a reality that confirms your belief, creating a “perpetual self-fulfilling prophecy.”This loop can only be broken by stepping back and becoming the observer of your own mind.
4. How to Stop Living in Your Mind
To activate the shift, you must separate your “Self” from your thoughts. Here are the tools suggested:
Meditation:Watch your thoughts without interacting with them. See them as “clouds” or “foggy” ideas that have no substance until you give them power through identification.
Practicing Presence: Observe your mind throughout the day.Notice the “garbage” or limiting beliefs you’ve accumulated.Once the ego becomes apparent to you, it loses its grip.
Repetition and Assumption:
Use the “Law of Assumption”(coined by Neville Goddard). Assume you are already wealthy, healthy, and loved. Persist in these new assumptions despite what your physical senses tell you.
5. The Phantom Identity
Your old state of being is like a program fighting for survival. It will try to convince you that your new assumptions are fake.In those moments, remember: your thoughts sprout arbitrarily from a state of being you didn’t consciously choose.By repeatedly choosing a new concept of self and walking as though it is true ‘now’, the Observer begins to manifest a new reality.
The old version of you withers away because it is no longer being fed by your attention.
Summary:
Awake, O Dreamer True freedom is realizing that your entire identity was a phantom—a set of “bars made of cloud stuff.” When you stop living in your head and start living as the Observer, you are no longer a prisoner of your own mind. You are the creator of the dream.
